Erasure had long since settled into a steady place as a veteran act by the 2010s, but on the coattails of a successful compilation, Always: The Very Best of Erasure, World Be Gone gave the duo their first UK top ten studio album in two decades. It’s one of their strongest late period albums by far, perhaps due to a creative recharge by both Vince Clarke and Andy Bell with various individual solo projects and collaborations in earlier years in the decade, and songs like the title track, “Love You To The Sky” and “Just a Little Love” were just some of the highlights.
