Galore cover
Released

The final album of the Primitives’ initial run fell victim to the too-usual story of shifting tastes and record company priorities, the band suddenly seeming like yesterday’s news in the wake of grunge, techno and more on the rise in 1991; Galore didn’t even get a US release. More the real pity because it’s a fine listen heard away from said stultifying context; while the band had now long moved beyond the sheer rough brightness of their earliest days the Primitives remained engaging songwriters and performers, Tracy Tracy again in fine voice.
