ECHOESFROMTHEHOLOCENE

The continuing partnership between Richard Walker and Karine Charff as Amp made its first full length mark in the 2020s with 2023’s ECHOESFROMTHEHOLOCENE, drawing on a live session done for NTS Radio the previous year. Organized around a theme of encountering the wreckage of civilization post-ecological collapse, it sets the tone with the moody melancholic float of “Time and Tides” before moving into a series of songs that appropriately feel like ghostly broadcasts from somewhere beyond, as on “Lament Lentement” and “Drift Plastic Blues.”
