Erratics & Unconformities

Following various self-released EPs, Craven Faults made its full-length debut on Leaf in 2019 with Erratics & Unconformities, a title which may suggest rampaging noise and chaos. But the artist behind the name aims more for a sequencer float with cool tension instead. The lengthy “Vacca Wall” which opens the album touches on everything from Pan Sonic to Klaus Schultze, while the project’s stated goal of interpreting ‘half-remembered journeys across post-industrial Yorkshire’ gets reflected with titles like “Hangingstones,” “Cupola Smelt Mill” and “Signal Post.”
