The Teaches of Peaches

Released

The Teaches of Peaches showed a new side of electroclash. Although it was bitingly sardonic, it had sophistication, a worldview and musical palette that diverged from the genre’s earlier white line fever dreams. Peaches had radical queer feminist ideas, an academic understanding of underground music and a Roland groovebox, and she used all three to deliver some absolute classics – lofi trunk rattlers like “Fuck the Pain Away” and “Lovertits” which showed her mastery of the form.”
