The Master

Released

What were the circumstances that led Latin jazz drum dynamo Chico Hamilton to join forces with Dixie Chicken-era Little Feat? No one can really say (or remember), but The Master has all the casual, manic magic of a wee hours jam session fueled by an assortment of bottles, powders, pills, and thrills. Hamilton locks in with the band’s percussionists, while Lowell George’s slide on “One Day Five Months Ago” is akin to flooring it on an open California highway.
