Tales from the Damned

Released

The two album stint that the Damned did on Ace Records for Machine Gun Etiquette and The Black Album was one of their most productive as well as their one of their best all around, with a wide variety of B-sides and EP tracks that never made either album. 1993’s Tales From The Damned filled that gap perfectly, presenting them all chronologically in a solid odds-and-sods job. Certainly some songs were rarer for a reason but others, like the ‘fiddling about’ alternate version of “Antipope” and the exuberant “Disco Man,” are among the group’s most enjoyable.
