Stunt Rock [Original Soundtrack]

Released

1978 stuntsploitation flick Stunt Rock promised a “DEATH WISH AT 120 DECIBELS” and came nowhere close to delivering. Forgotten LA theatrical rock act Sorcery provided the decibels, however, and their insane rock opera/soundtrack about Merlin fighting the devil (which is not the plot of the film) absolutely kicks ass. Somewhere between Deep Purple, KISS, and The Sweet, Sorcery didn’t conjure anything new sound-wise but their, uh, unique stories and shockingly catchy tunes make them ripe for rediscovery.
