The ear drummers—Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi—were a beautiful embodiment of the post-trap embrace of slam dancing and dorky rock energy, which is a style more than it is a sound thing. They are just energy and snark and sort of dumb confidence, actual party music that sounds dumb before it even gets to you and allows you to be dumb, in the best sense.
