Forget Yourself

Released

Following the lengthy multi-session assembly of After Everything Now This, the Church went the jam-it-out-and-see-what-happens mode for Forget Yourself, a noisier affair in comparison to its predecessor while retaining the same sense of easy confidence in approach overall. Both Peter Koppes and Marty Willson-Piper each get a vocal feature, on “See Your Lights” and “Appalatia” respectively, while the appropriately trippy chug of “Song In Space,” the Beach Boys harmonies on “Telepath” and the yearning melancholy of “Maya” are just three of the many highlights.
