Express cover
Released

Having started to figure out their new dynamic on their debut, on the following year’s Express Love and Rockets fully began to gel in their own right, sounding at once looser and more comfortable with their blend of 1980s modern rock and psychedelia as well as more open to even further experimentation. Songs like “Kundalini Express” and the rave-up kick of “Yin and Yang (The Flowerpot Man)” shimmer with a chugging energy while the moodier flows of “An American Dream” and “Love Me” capture the trio’s ear for understated elegance and detail.
