A sound designer might use a frenetic xylophone to represent someone walking on their tiptoes rather than a pair of shoes, or a slide whistle to communicate something zipping through the air at high speed. Plus-Tech Squeeze Box put their appreciation for the craft on display with their sophomore album cartooom!, drawing on a language familiar to the average Nickelodeon watcher and refitting it into a musical context.
